On March 2nd, Wang Zhen, a passive house expert of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the leader in the development of the "By the Water" passive house project, and the general manager of Qinhuangdao Wuxing Real Estate Company, led 11 people including his passive house designers, project managers, door and window technicians, etc. to visit Xinliji for inspection and guidance.

The leaders of Xinliji Company, including Chairman Zhou Chengwei, accompanied the guests to inspect and visit the production workshop. They introduced the vacuum glass production line, production process and product testing to the guests, and answered in detail the professional questions raised by the guests.

After the visit, the guests fully affirmed the company's good working environment, orderly production process, strict quality control and harmonious working atmosphere.

After the inspection and visit, the two sides fully discussed and exchanged on how vacuum glass can give full play to its greatest advantages in passive houses and accelerate the methods and strategies for promoting vacuum glass. According to General Manager Wang, when building the first phase of the "By the Water" passive house project in 2012, Xinliji vacuum glass was used in Building 13#, with a heat transfer coefficient K value of less than 0.6W/(m²·K). A total of about 2000m² was used. After the passive house was completed, the China Academy of Building Research conducted data detection for five years. Within five years, the building energy consumption fluctuated little and reached the passive house design standards and goals. There was no damage or performance failure of vacuum glass. As of now, it has been in use for 11 years and the owners are satisfied.

Based on his own experience, General Manager Wang believes that vacuum glass has no damage and performance attenuation in the first five years. After that, without external force damage, basically there will be no damage and performance attenuation. Based on this, it is initially inferred that the service life of vacuum glass can completely be the same as that of passive houses and reach 50 years.

During the meeting, General Manager Wang also put forward valuable suggestions and opinions for the future development of Xinliji based on the inspection and exchange situation.
