The passive house project of "Beside the Water" in Qinhuangdao is an ultra-low energy consumption passive housing project that has obtained quality certification from the German Energy Agency. The "Beside the Water" project has won many awards such as the top ten design projects of green buildings and low-energy consumption buildings of the Ministry of Construction, the "double hundred" demonstration project of green buildings and low-energy consumption buildings of the Ministry of Construction, the demonstration project of renewable energy building applications of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Construction, the pilot demonstration project of building energy conservation of the Ministry of Construction, the pilot project of urban soil and water conservation and rainwater utilization in Hebei Province, and the excellent residential community development project in Hebei Province. The project was completed in 2012 and it has been ten years. The developer of the "Beside the Water" project is Qinhuangdao Wuxing Real Estate Development Company, which is the first developer to build passive houses in China. Recently, the leaders of Xinliji Company led a team to pay a return visit to Wang Zhen, the general manager of Wuxing Real Estate, and the owners.
Wang Zhen introduced that in 2012, the "Beside the Water" project built a total of 4 passive houses (C12# - C15#). Among them, building C13# used vacuum glass from Xinliji. The heat transfer coefficient K value is <0.6W/(m2·K). About 2000m2 of vacuum glass was used in total. Building C12# used vacuum glass from other manufacturers, and the other two buildings used three-glass two-chamber argon-filled insulating glass. After ten years of operation, due to the leakage of inert gas in the insulating glass, the thermal insulation performance has been reduced by at least 40%, that is, the heat transfer coefficient K value has increased from 0.7 W/(m2·K) to 1.0 W/(m2·K). The thermal insulation effect has become worse and the comfort of living has decreased. As for the vacuum glass used, there is no such problem at all, and the thermal insulation effect is still very good. If there is air leakage in the vacuum glass and the performance declines, there are two manifestations. One is that when the temperature difference is large in winter, condensation will appear on the glass surface. The other is that the supports fall off. None of these two phenomena occur and the performance is very good. The developer and owners highly recognize vacuum glass.
According to actual operation monitoring, the total construction area of the project in area C of "Beside the Water" is 80,000 square meters. Compared with traditional buildings, it can save 998 tons of standard coal per year, reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 2595 tons per year, and save about 1.95 million yuan in heating costs per year. The energy saving rate reaches 92%, which is 27 percentage points higher than the energy saving standard for new buildings in China.
